ERASMUS EXCHANGE MALTA 2025 – 3CS

From 22nd February to 2nd March, class 3cs had the opportunity to go an Erasmus exchange to Malta. 12 students plus 2 teachers (Miss Muhr & Mr Steinbichler) spent 8 days in Malta, where they participated in the Junior College’s “Habits for success” programme together with 24 Maltese and 12 Belgian students. The Maltese team (Miss Boryana, Miss Christabel, Miss Elaine, Miss Graziella, Miss Josette & Mr Roberto) welcomed us with incredible kindness and had organized the programme perfectly.

Daily workshops and afternoon activities not only introduced the students to a variety of habits, which might lead to success in life (such as knowing about one’s strength, leadership skills, mindfulness practices, etc.), but also to the Maltese culture, geography and cuisine. Based on the fact that English – next to Maltese – is a national language in Malta, everyone had to use English constantly in order to communicate with other students, teachers, hotel staff, taxi drivers, doctors, waiters, etc. Given that every Austrian student had a Maltese buddy, getting to know each other was much easier. Some became very good friends and even spent their free time together.

Fortunately, Erasmus played a big role in financing this exchange and therefore financially disadvantaged students could also participate, which would otherwise not have been possible for them. Thanks to this Erasmus project, we are convinced that we are now one step closer to a united and peaceful European Union. We can’t wait to greet to Maltese students and their teachers on their return visit to Vienna in June 2025! Erasmus at its best!!
